I didn't like the episode. Yeah the animation was incredible, but the story was boring. Really, really, boring. Still, it was a brilliant animation job. It felt like a nice animated movie.

I think it was more about Shikamaru's development more than anything.

Well, sincerely....this is the very 1st time.....and the very 1st episode that had this MUCH GREAT animation. It was Movie-Animation
Everything just felt so perfect, so real. And NO episode in Part 1 had this flawless animations......is just amazaing. Of course, there will be many more episodes made with great animations but I don' think there will ever be another episode like this....EPIC.
